"___!" You look up to see the slightly plumped Miss Madgey waving at you. She wore a dirndl; her bodice was black along with a white blouse. The blouse was puffy on her shoulders, while her bodice was somewhat tight. The dirndl was down to her ankles and was green (or the apron part was green). She wore a striped, yellow bonnet. She waves her handkerchief to you, "how do you do~?"

You smile, "I'm doing fine, Miss Madgey." Looking down at the eggs in your basket, you say, "my mother told me to sell these at your market. I have a dozen eggs to sell from my chickens."

She smiles, "how is your mother doing? I haven't seen her in quite a while..."

"She's been feeling under the weather lately. With all these rodents around, it stressed her out."

The plump women smiles, "I have an idea! How about for those eggs, I'll give you one of my cats, they help with the rodent infestation.”

You smile, "I would love that! But, are you sure, you love yours cats.”

She nods, “I’m positive. Plus, with those eggs, I can make lots of cookies for the village!” (I don’t know if they made cookies in the Medieval era)

“Perfect! Thank you so much~!”

“No problem ___~! Tell your mother I said ‘hello~’!”

You bow; lifting part of your dress up on both sides, “I will. Bye~!” Handing the basket to her, you run off.

“Hold on! I still need to-"

Waving, you shout, “Don’t worry! You can give it to me in an hour!”

“Wait!” You turn around, “____, how long are you going to keep the act up?”

You smirk, “so you figured it out, huh?”

She chuckles, “the whole village knows, ____. There’s no need to act like something you’re not.”

A sigh escapes your mouth as you scratch you (h/c) head. “The whole village knows, huh?” she nods, “the only reason why I’m acting all “proper”is because of my mother. Keeps telling me to be a “proper young lady”, but everyone knows that I’d rather become a pirate than a lady.”

She waves you off, “don’t be silly, ____. Don’t become a pirate. They’re ill-mannered, smelly people who’d rather be out on the seas stealing goods from others, than be peasants like us. Just tell (m/n) that it’s not your fancy to become a young lady.”

You throw your head back groan, “aghh! You know (m/n), she’s won’t take no for a stinking answer! That woman was taught by her mother to become a respectful, proper young lady. I, on the other hand, was taught by my dad to become a hunter.”

She chuckles, “yes, yes. But just remember, the entire village knows you're acting like proper young lady. Tell your parents I said hello.” She waves before walking in the opposite direction.

“Ah crap! I forgot about that!” You run the other direction, towards home. I should hurry. (d/n) told me to come home as fast as possible… You burst through your front door, gasping for breath because you ran in a dress and un-runnable type of shoes. Your father and mother look up from drinking tea, “I’m back. What was so urgent, dad?” Though you act like a proper lady in public, you don’t continue to act when you’re at home or hanging out with friends.

He sets his cup on the table and gets up. Straightening up his brown coat, he clears his throat. “___, I have some news from Western Port. It’s a message from Felix.”

You stare at him, “Felix? You mean cousin Felix?” He nods, “what kind of message are we talking about?”

He places both hands on your shoulders, “pirates. Pirates attacked the Western Port an hour ago. I got the message from his bird, Steven.”

(E/c) eyes shake, “is everyone alright?!”

Sweat drips down his forehead and onto his neck. He gives off a shrugging motion, “more or less. But,” he pats both of your shoulders a second time, “he sent this to warn us about the attack. They’re coming, ____.”

Before you could answer, a scream is heard. “PIRATES! I see pirates at the port! Pirates! I see pirates at the port! Everyone run and hide your goods! Pirates are here! Pir-“

“Pirates.” You look up at your dad who was looking through the window. “____, take your goods and mother down to the storage room.”

“What are you gonna do?”

He smiles, “fight some pirates, of course.”

Before he could walk to the weaponry room, you grab his wrist. He turns around, (whether or not your dad has a beard…) his rough beard blows in the wind. “You can’t go! You’ll die!”

He pulls away from you and smiles, “don’t you believe in your old man, ___? (I call my dad old man XD) Besides, your only 15 years old (in the story) and my only child (in the story). Plus,” he glances at your mother and whispers in your ear, “you need to take care of your old mother there. If another pirate attack happens, you’ll be the head of the household.” You nod, “I’m so proud of you, ____.” He pulls you into a hug before leaving the room.

You watch as he walks through the room with his prized revolver and a sword. Since guns were hardly invented, his revolver was precious. “(d/n),” you both turn to look at your mother, “please come back.”

He gives her a quick kiss, “I’ll try my best, (m/n).” He makes his way to the door and looks back, "take care, ____, (m/n).” He shuts the door. Silence fills the room.

You turn around and stormed into your room, "I'm going into my room.” As you enter your room, you look out the window. You see your father out onto the streets. Anger washes over you, "I will not sit back and watch my dad get killed!” You run into your wardrobe to take out your hunting gear. You take off your dress and put the hunting clothes on that you got from your father for your birthday. Running downstairs, you see you mother, hands covering her face, sitting at the table. She sees you, her eyes widen as she shakes her (h/c) head. “No, mom. I’m gonna fight!” You march to the weapon your room, with her close behind. You reach for the swords, but your mother grabs your wrists.

“____! You shall not fight! Your father forbid you and I do too! I can't lose both of you!”

You pull away from her grip, "let me do this! I don't want to become a proper young lady, because proper young ladies can’t have any FUN!

Sprinting out of the house, you hear your mother's pleads. “____!” your mother screams, “PLEASE! DON’T LEAVE ME!!!” She falls to the ground and weeps. You see a pirate pushing a peasant on the ground. The man was Mr. Rodgerson, about 54 years old (pretty old in medieval times), who held up his hand up in defense. The pirate points his sword inches away from the wise old man. Rage fills your eyes, "hey bastard! Pick on someone who actually has weapons!" Both men turn to look at you. You point your sword at the pirate, "stop harassing an elder! He has more knowledge about the world than any of us!"

You run at him; a chuckle escapes from the pirates dirty mouth. "Hehehe, I see that this village will use young ladies for fighting."

You look at him in disgust, "young... lady?!" In a flash, you run at him and swung your sword against his. His sword flies out of his hand and on the ground, meters away from him. His blue eyes looks at his hand, then at his sword, and then at you, completely shocked at what happened. You look at Mr. Rodgerson, "go!" He scrambles up and runs away after he gives you his thanks. Your smiles fades as you look up at the defenseless pirate. You point you sword at his throat, tilting it up so it touches his chin. He gulps, his hands held up in defense. You smirk, "so, what did you say about me being a “proper young lady"~?"

He starts sweating and smiles, "n-nothing, me lad-"

A vein pops out of your head, "I told you NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" You swing your sword at him. He cowers in fear as you brought the handle down on his head. He collapses to the ground and faints. You look at him, "stupid." As you start walking away, you hear shouting.

(E/c) eyes widen as you recognize the voice. "Dad...? DAD!" You sprint towards his voice, only to see a sword being stabbed through his lower part of his chest. Your eyes shake as tears whelm up in your (e/c) eyes. You glare at the tall man, "damn you! I HATE PIRATES SO MUCH!" Though knife throwing wasn't your strong point, you did it anyways.

He deflects it with his sword, "hm! Nice try, girly, but yo-" his green eyes widen as he sees more knives coming at him. Before you left, you took all the knives in the weaponry room and from the kitchen, just in case. Luckily, more than enough knives stabbed him, along with other pirates that stood behind him. Panting, you look back and fall to the ground. Dropping your swords, you carefully held your fathers head in your hands. Tears fall onto his face, "dad...? Dad?! DAD!!!" you scream into his chest. Gripping his chest, you hauled him into your lap and wept. "Daddy... Please... PLEASE DON'T GO!!!!!" Tears fall from your beautiful, (e/c) eyes. One of many tears slowly rolls down your cheek. It's hangs on the tip of your chin before falling on your dad's wound. Magically, it started healing him. He coughs before opening up his eyes. You look up at him, "dad...? A-are you al-alright?"

His vision was blurry, and the look on his face looked like he didn't know where he was, but with a chilled face. "_-___... why are you... here...? I thought, I told you, th-that-" his horrible cough comes back, "to stay inside... with your, mother..." If he wasn't so dazed, his eyes would be widening. "How, is... she...?"

You grasp his hand, "sh-she's a-alright. I-I came out here by myself-" You pick up your sword and swing it around. It clashes with another sword. Tears roll down in sorrow and rage. "What the hell do you want?!" you say, in such a tone that everyone would cower in, through gritted teeth.

The pirate is somewhat plump, no, is plump "well well, I see that your father has been stabbed," he looks around to see his comrade on the ground, knives hanging off of him, bleeding to death. He sighs, "I see that Henry stabbed your father." he turns to face you, "and I'm truly sorry about that." He pulls away, drawing back his sword. "My name is Randy, what's yours?"

You blink at him and point at yourself, "m-me?!" He nods, "my name is- wait, WHY THE HELL WOULD I TELL YOU!!!!!"

He chuckles and makes his way towards your dad. "Because," he looks at you, "the captain wants me to bring strong fighters to him, and you'rea strong fighter, for a yo-"

You shake your finger, "nope! Don't say that! If you do, you'll end up like him." you point at Henry. Randy gulps and nods. SHIT! I FORGOT! You turn to face your dying dad. Falling to your knees, tears continue to fall. "Dad, hang in there! I-I'll take you to Mr. Gordan, he'll help you, he-"

"No... ____... I'm going to die..."

You shake your head, (h/c) hair waving in the wind, "no, no, nonoNONONO!!!! I-"

"ENOUGH!" You bury your face in his chest, "I don't feel-" he pauses, "I-I'm not stuttering anymore... The pain, the blood, it's all better." He sits up and looks at you, "____, what are you? You healed me, no, you saved me.”

You look up at him, “don’t tell me that you don’t know what I am. I’m your daughter of course.” He chuckles and gives you a noogie. You laugh before remembering that your in the middle of war. You stand up, “Randy, right?” he nods, “I’m not going with you or captain, nor will I become a pirate (unless it’s the Straw Hat Pirates XD). So, you can tell your captain t-“

“I was trying to be reasonable, you bloody git. But I guess it won’t work on a girl like you.” The three of you, you, Randy, and your dad, turn to the voice. A blonde, British man walks towards you. He looks to be in his mid-twenties (except he’s not), and wore a captains hat along with a red coat. His green eyes stare into your (e/c) eyes, the thirst for blood was shown. He stops, inches away from you, his coat blowing in the wind. “So,” he says, "what is a girl like you doing in the battlefield? Aren't you suppose to be inside making food for us like a proper... young... lady?” Those three words pierced your heart. He sees that you, literally, wince at the words and chuckles. You feel his hand grip your chin, “I guess daddy didn't care ab-" Slap!

“Don’t you dare get my family involved in this, you hear me?!” His tilted face turns to look at you. Instead of attacking, he just laughs. Your cheeks grow rosy red, “wh-why are you laughing?! I just slapped you!”

“You sound like you want me to kill you.”

I hate this smartass… “I’m just confused. Why are you talking to me when you could be stealing, killing, kidnapping, and destroying the village and villagers? I’m glad you aren't, but…” you stop when you feel a blade against your throat.

A lump forms as you look up. When did he- “You really are a persistent girl.” he whispers in your ear. Again, how did he get behind me so fast? Was I talking that much?! Think back: I was looking at the ground until I felt someone gripping my wrists. Then both of my arms were thrust up my upper back… and here I am… “Why don’t you come with me, love? I’ll make a deal.” He looks up to see practically the whole village staring at the two of you. “Attention, villagers. I’ll make a deal with you,"

The other pirates look at each other, “deal? What in he talking about? He takes what he wants…”

“We will leave this village,” he looks down at you and smirks, “in return for this girl.” Silence fills the air, “don’t worry, we will return every, single thing we stole from you and return it. I’m not the type that’ll compromise, but,” he holds up a finger from his knife hand, “I’ll do this, for you.”

You look at the villagers and see your mother. Why?! Mumbles and mutters are heard from the villagers. Minutes go by, “we choose to be ransacked rather than losing ____.”

Eyes widen at their answer, including the pirates. “Everyone…” The blade against your throat tightens, “agh!”

The pirate sighs, “too bad. And I thought I was being nice…” He slides the knife against your throat, slitting it, and dropping you to the ground. “Oops! My hand slipped.” he chuckles, “men, kill the villagers and leave no remains behind.” Noises from the pirates are heard. Your vision fades away as you gasp for breath, holding your neck. Screams are also heard, but from the villagers. Mom, dad, Mr. Rodgerson, Miss Madgey, everyone… “I could have used a beautiful woman like you.” he says as he kicks your head. He shrugs, “oh well.” You instinctively grab his ankle as he walks by. He looks down at you and growls before kicking you away. You feel your knife wound pain go away. I can... breath? Dad was right, what am I?

“Hey blondey! Why don’t you finish what you started, huh?” He whips his head around to see you up and cracking your neck. “It took me a while, but I finally realized that what I have is far more precious that my fighting skills.” He smirks. You walk to an injured village, “I’ll show you all.Concentrate. If I can cry it out, then I should be able to control it. Turquoise color glows from your hands as you start to heal the wound. Ooh’s and aah’s are heard from both sides.

The villager stares at you, “don’t tell me that you’re a witch?” You shake your head, “but your demonstrating witchcraft/dark magic.”

You glare at the crowd, “I don’t know, alright? Ask (m/n) and (d/n).”

“I knew there was something special about you.” You get up, finally finished healing the villager. “Come with me-“

“How about not.” you say as you turn to face the captain. You casually walk towards him, “why don’t you leave the village?”

“I’ll leave if you come with, love.” That word causes your cheeks to grow warm. He grips your chin, yet again, “if you don’t,” he says, tilting his head so that it looks like he’ll kiss you, “I’ll keep coming back…” Drawing out your sword, you manage to cut part of his coat. He jumps back and pulls out his sword, “I love fighting, especially a feisty girl.”

Your swords clash together. The villagers look at each other, “we should fight too!”

“Yeah! If ___’s fighting, we should too!” You look to see villagers picking up weapons and running at the pirates. Even Miss Madgey did it.

“Everyone…” Their will to live gave you the will to fight. You manage to push the man backwards, “leave now!”

He smirks, “sorry, love, but you aren't gonna win this time.” A shot was heard. Looking down, you see your chest bleeding. You fall to your knees and then collapsed to the ground. He grabs you by your (h/l), (h/c) hair and brings your face close to his. He whispers, “Let’s see your healing powers work this time.” Everything went black.

XXXXX
You wake up in bed. “Where am I?!” Looking around, you see everyone in the village in Mr. Gordon’s house (he’s a doctor).”Where’s the pirates?!”

Mrs. Wilmer walks towards you, “they left because we took out our canons.” Canons? Oh right! Our secret weapon against pirates are our canons, if all else fails… “The captain told us before he left, ‘We’ll come back in a year for that girl and attack if you don’t give her to us’. But until then, don't worry, hun, we're ready for them."

You stare at everyone, "you guys... I'll also try my best, for the village." Cheers are heard throughout the house.

For the next months/year, you trained yourself to control your healing powers. You were the village's priestess (or something) and Dr. Gordon's helper. Every morning, you wake up to find herbal medicine out in the fields and woods. "Mr. Gordon, I found dandelion roots. Where should put them?"

The forty seven-year-old man looks at you. His glasses (if they wore glasses back then) glistens in the light as he strokes his grey beard. "Hm, clean them off and put them on the counter." he points at the counter that was on the left side of the door when you walk in. You nod and washed them off before setting them down. "____," you look up, "thank you for helping an old man like me."

You wave him off, "oh no! Don't worry about it! I'm happy to help you!"

He smiles and nods. Minutes go by, "you know," you look up, "if other villages learn that you have the power to heal, they'll question this village. They'll come after you and stone you. We can't let them do that, ____. You're the prize of the village, not because you saved us and you have healing power, but because you're our family. If you weren't from the village or if we didn't know you, we would be scared of you because of your powers (it's witchcraft/dark magic related). Even now, some are scared and question it. But," he holds up a finger, "that's normal. We're all scared, of losing you. We question on what we do to prevent you from leaving, from being taken away from us, from being killed." He walks towards you and places a hand on your shoulder. "____, I know it's been seven months since that incident, but we didn't know how to tell you."

You furrow your (b/c) brows, "what do you mean?”

He sighs, “when you were recovering, your mother and father thought of something that could’ve caused you to have “witchcraft/dark magic” like powers. They stated that when you were born, you were feeble and I told them that your chance of survival was none. Of course, your parents are stubborn and went out to find someone who could help. They explained that an old woman, who wore a dirty, brown cloak approached them. She said that she’d help, for a price.”

You stare at him, intrigued by this “incident”, “and what did they do?”

He chuckles, “well, they could tell that she was witch and said that they won’t stone her.” You gape at his answer, “she agrees and said, ‘Fair enough’. So, she takes you and recites spells. As she hands you back to your parents she said, ‘But be warned. The magic spell I cast upon your daughter has some side effects. She could grow up to be a young, healthy girl; have the power to heal oneself and others. Or, the wrong people will use the power that could possibly overwhelm her; her thirst for power would cause her to bring the dead back to life or assist the evil. I don’t even know what will happen’”.

Silence fills the air, “… Alright then.” You walk past him and waved as you walked out the door. “See you tomorrow~!”

As the months go on, your control over your power increases. Then one day… “Hey mom!” you say as you run down the stairs and into the kitchen. “Do you know where dad is?”

She looks up from rolling some dough, “I believe he went fishing with Mr. Rodgerson and others. Why? Is there something you need to tell him?”

You shake your head, “no, never mind. It’s not important. I just wondered if he could help me with my swordsmanship this afternoon.” She smiles and continues to roll the dough. “Is it alright if I work on it by myself? I’ll be careful…” Before she could answer, you run off to grab your gear, the same gear that you wore when the pirates came. As you put it on, screams are heard outside. You pause to listen, but shook your head. This time, it was more recognizable. “What the hell?” Instead of looking to see what was happening, you continue to put on your armor, but at a quicker pace. Grabbing your swords, you sprint towards the door. "What’s wro-" Before your eyes you see the same scene you saw a year ago. Fire everywhere. “Pirates…” A surge of rage flows through your blood as you look around. You look to the left, only to see Mrs. Madgey screaming as a pirate pulls at her goods. “Hey Bastard!” you shout, pointing your sword at him, “leave her alone!” He chuckles and continues to pull. "Why you-"

“Don’t move, missy.” Dammit! You glance back to see a pirate pointing a gun at your head. “Put down your swords.” You refuse, “NOW!” His hands shake as you slowly put your swords on the ground. You look up to see the gun still pointed at you. Sheesh… In a sudden motion, you swing your sword at him. He sees this coming and easily dodges it. You watch in horror as he pulls the trigger. Bang! Your eyes slowly open to see him falling to the ground. Whipping your head around, you see your savior.

(E/c) eyes shake, “you need to be more careful, ____.”

“M-mom?! Why- how-"

She chuckles, “your father isn’t the only one who knows how to use a gun or fight.” Before you could answer she shouts, “Down!” You fall to the ground. A loud bang echoes through your ears. Opening your eyes, you turn to see another pirate fall to the ground, his hand grabbing his chest. Geez, she can aim…

Another gun shot is heard, this time, not from your mom. You turn to see your mother falling to the ground. “MOM!” You run to catch her, but she hits the ground. “Mom! Hang on! I-I’ll heal you!” The turquoise color appeared above her wound. “Hang on, stay with me.” Her eyes slowly closes and opens.

Her lips move ever so slightly, “r…u…n…” Before you could realize what was happening, you feel an arm against your throat. No! It can’t be-

“Long time no see, love.” Shit! You struggle to get away, but his grip around your neck tightens. “Come on, don’t struggle. I kept my promise and you should keep yours, too.”

Your glare at him, “what promise?! I didn’t promise anything!”

He chuckles and whispers in your ear, “I'll keep coming back until you say yes. All I want is you...” His hot breath against your ear causes you to shudder. He laughs at your action and pulls you into him, “why don’t we leave? Shall we?”

You manage to get out of his grip, only to turn around to face him. “I'll not go with you!” You shout as you draw your sword; “why don’t we fight one-on-one, no guns, alright?” He smirks and throws his gun to the side. In a flash, he pulls out his sword and swings it at you. You manage to block it, but stumbled back. “LEAVE!”

His devious smirk reappears, “never…” You scream and push him to the side. This will never end… As you clash swords with him, once again, out look around. Everyone… Everyone is getting pushed back… Maybe I should go with the…

“H-hey!” He stares at you, “what would you do if I went with you?”

“____! Don’t think about that! W-we’ll be alright!”

He glares at your wound mother, “be quiet yo-“

“Answer me!” His green eyes stare into your soul, “if I go with you, will you leave the village alone?”

“Yes, I will leave the village alone.” A sigh of relief escapes your mouth. He draws back and puts his sword away. He walks away from you and says, “We’re leaving in ten minutes. Do whatever you want until then.” he glances back, “but, if you run away, we’ll make sure no one survives in the village.” You gulp and nod.

Turning around, you see your mother sitting up. “Mother, I can explain-“

“No! ____, you can’t leave!” she says as she crawls over to you. “You’re my only child! Think about the village. We need you and your healing powers to help the sick and wounded. You’re the reason why no one has died for a year! If you leave, I-I-"

“Shhh. It’s alright, mom.” you whisper into her ear as you hug her. “I know it’s hard for you, but…” Tears roll down your cheek as you look into her (e/c) eyes, “BUT BE STRONG! BE STRONG FOR ME! D-Dr. G-Gordon told me the story a-about my p-powers. All I have to do is purify/heal a bucket of water so that it can heal you guys. Over the past seven months, I trained myself to heal things in a larger range by using water. If I heal the water, everything in it can get healed.”

She smiles and hugs you, “you’re too smart, ____.”

“_-___! (M/n)! Are you both alright?!” You both turn around to see your father running towards you.

Eight minutes go by… “I think I got everything.” You wipe your forehead as you look at your bag. Getting up, you look back at your room. Sorrow fills every inch of your (e/c) eyes, “see you never…” Walking towards the dock was the hardest thing to do. Leaving everyone behind pains you. Looking back, you see everyone, literally everyone fro the village waving at you. Before you left, you supplied them with two years of healing water in case of an emergency. ‘Only use it when it’s an emergency. Don’t use it if it’s a cut or something.’ A forced smile emerges on your face, “I love you all! See you guys later, I guess…” You make your final minute on the dock. I can’t look at anyone, not now, not ever… Tears whelm up in your eyes as you approach the ship. Looking back, you scream, “I PROMISE I’LL COME BACK!” They all scream and shout positive vibes toward you. You wave them goodbye before setting foot on the ship.

“Welcome aboard, love.” Looking up, you see the captain smiling down at you. Your eyes shake at the sight of him; tears roll down your cheek. As you walk by, he frowns. I know I’m a pirate, but something feels, off… As if something’s not right… He shakes his head, probably just imagining things. “Set sail!”

You look back at your home, one last time, before leaving.

Thought it'd be a GREAT idea to start a Pirate England story... Takes place in Medieval Times/Ages.
Sorry for the poorly written story ^^; it's a little bit old....
